Is the world ready to forgive Chris Brown?

Chris Brown has been forgiven by Jermaine Jackson and a slew of other celebrities and artists alike after breaking down during his Michael Jackson tribute performance. Chris Brown is still the hot topic of discussion three days after the BET Awards and it seems like he has finally made amends with the public also. If you haven't heard by now, Chris Brown performed one of the most stunning Michael Jackson tributes to date Sunday (June 27th). However, Chris Brown couldn't finish the performance and struggled through Michael Jackson's emotionally charged hit "Man In The Mirror". Brown broke down in tears during the most emotional moment of his career.

Chris Brown's career has taken a nose dive since his incident with Rihanna last year and despite public apologies and numerous interviews, he has been a media target ever since. Jermaine Jackson, brother of the legendary Michael Jackson, was amazed at Brown's performance.  "It was very emotional for me... It was just a spectacular moment...He (Brown) deserves to perform because it's healing for him. How can he learn from his mistakes if you don't give him the chance? He needs that. I support him a thousand per cent; I'm not supporting what he did because it was wrong, but, at the same time, we have to give him a chance."

As much as I despise an "ABUSER" I have to say that I agree with Jermaine Jackson. As a mother of both a daughter, and a son. I can't can't imagine either side. Being the mother of the abused, or the abuser. Either way I know that there is no reason to ever to be physically agressive to any person. Man or Woman! When a situation does happen where someone is abused I do think that at some point you have to forgive in order to move on. Why is this so hard for us to do with Chris Brown? A young famous, talented son of an abuser (his father) and also son of the abused (his Mother)?

It's amazing to me how a guy in his prime who actually can be "rehabilitated" is thrown to the wolves and career is diminished right in  front of our eyes.  While others like Charlie Sheen, Mel Gipson, Larry King, & Wesley Snipes remain to be the industry's most sought after talent and HIGHEST PAID in their trades..There is something very wrong with this picture and I hope someone knocks some sense into our society real quick. ; ) Stay FAB
