Rich or Poor u still need a vacation!

All year long I have been complaining that "I need a Vacation." Balancing work, family, my house and my social life seems to be over-whelming at times.  For a while it seemed as if a vacation was a mere fantasy. Then my husband and I were FINALLY able to coordinate our schedules and take off to Panama City, Fl with the kids for a few days.

I have to say that we actually had a great time. We stayed at a friends Beach home and enjoyed the weather and community. It was a great vacation b/c it was only a few hours from Atlanta, the weather was beautiful,(there was no oil) ;)  there were a ton of activities from boating to shopping : ) and most of all it was very very cost effective. Some of the things you can do to get a Fab & Frugal Vacation are:

  • Choose a destination that is in driving distance
  • Travel with a group to divide the cost
  • Search for places that are welcoming tourist by offering specials
  • Pack lunches while you are there
  • Have a family game night ( stay in order pizza and enjoy the view)
  • Don't forget about unadvertised "free" attractions like local Parks.

Hope you take your much needed vacation and remember it's not about how much you spend but How much time you spend enjoying life while on vacation!
